Third Party Voters Will Guarantee the Democrat Agenda Succeeds

Given the increasing numbers of believers who are considering a vote for a third-party candidate (or not voting for a presidential candidate at all), here is an appeal to those who are still wavering. The stakes are extremely high and we need to ask ourselves what the prime directive is in this season and what the ultimate result of our votes will look like.

  1.      We are on a default path towards a Democratic win. Regardless of flaws in both major parties, the dramatic outward shift of the Democratic party in the last year should cause biblically conscious believers to wake up. Though some of the social issues presented through this party were once worthy of consideration, the outright hostility towards biblical values should be alarming.Without demonizing everyone identifying as a Democrat, it is clear that the party has taken a stand that is counter to biblical values. Whatever good the party once stood for seems to have been hijacked. There is a corrupt global agenda at work and election fraud is already in play. The plans of the elite establishment to rule the nation from their thrones of power has been at work for decades and is on a direct course for absolute take-over. The snowball is headed down the mountain and is gaining speed. The call to believers in this election cycle is to stop this momentum. Unless another major party defeats this ungodly agenda, they WILL win.
  2.      The platform must be considered above the candidate. Though most of the nation’s attention has focused on the personalities of the candidates, believers must look at the party platforms that our votes are aligning with. Though the individual candidate will obviously wield great influence in the role of president, it is the party platform that will steer much of the agenda in years to come. We are not fighting individuals, but corrupt systems. This must take precedence over and above any candidate.
  3.      There is only one party platform that holds to biblical values. In speaking with a National RNC committeewoman who helped to write the party’s platform this year, she indicated that this platform was the most biblical platform the party has ever had. The Republican party is the ONLY party that is pro-life and the only party that stands for biblical marriage between one man and one woman. Regardless of ongoing issues within the party, they have taken a stand on the side of righteousness. To vote for another party that stands for pro-choice and pro-homosexuality is, by default, aligning with those values and aiding that agenda.
  4.      A third-party vote will not stop this momentum, but guarantee its success. Without another major party defeating the Democratic party, they will win. The agenda of their party platform WILL move forward and everyone will be impacted. THIS is the cost that must be considered when voting for a third party. It is not a “throw-away” vote. On the contrary, it will have power; power to take away votes from the one realistic opportunity that believers have to make a difference.
  5.      This election’s outcome will affect the nation for an entire generation. Given a Democratic win, laws will be enacted that we – corporately – will have to live with for YEARS. With a Democratic win, it is absolutely guaranteed that Supreme Court justices will be appointed who are pro-choice and pro-homosexuality. More importantly, the current trend towards religious persecution of Christians will increase dramatically. Not only will we be forced to abide by laws that directly contradict our biblical values, but we will be steadily stripped of our freedoms in worship and speaking out against this anti-Christ agenda. The freedom we have right now – to even vote for a third party – will probably disappear. This should be especially troubling for pastors and church leaders who are concerned about offending their followers by taking a stand. Unless the Republican party wins, religious freedoms will systematically be curtailed and our voices will be silenced. Guaranteed.
  6.      The hope of changing the system is misplaced. For believers who hope that a third party vote will block either candidate from securing the electoral vote, the reality is that the election would then be determined by the House of Representatives which is a Republican majority. No matter how you cut it, we have a two-party system. Our hope in changing the current political structure will not come through simply creating another man-made one! Ultimately, it is transforming our culture and its systems towards righteousness that will demonstrate the power of God’s kingdom and show another way.
  7.      Personal conscience must rise to a corporate reality. For those who say their conscience can’t vote for a particular candidate, consider the realistic outcome of not voting at all or a third-party vote and come to terms with what your conscience will have to live with. The outcome of a Democratic win will affect everyone in profound ways. Will your conscience abide by the laws that will be enacted with a Democratic win? Will your conscience be at peace with the godless, anti-Christ systems that will be put in place through this party’s policies? There are times when personal conscience must give way to a higher good. Just as Peter had to overcome his conscience about eating meat in order to reach the Gentiles (Acts 10:9-29), so we must examine our current personal convictions to consider if they may be limiting a larger purpose. Can we “stomach” something we consider “unclean” if God is using it to expand our influence and His kingdom?
  8.      Have we forgotten the power of transformation? We as believers know that the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdom of our Lord and Savior (Revelation 11:15). Daniel, Joseph, and Esther are three examples of God-lovers who worked within the heathenistic systems of their day to demonstrate the power of God and transform their nations. Are the Daniels, Josephs, and Esther’s of today simply revolting against the systems or seeking to find a way in to transform them? The greatest revolutionary act may not be in voting for a third party, but laying aside individual preferences in order to stand together.
  9.      The hope of a miraculous rescue is counter to the prime directive. Even as many Spirit-filled believers are expectant for a supernatural move of God to override the political process, the consistent rallying cry in intercession this past year has demonstrated God’s desire for us to come into agreement with one another. This is to be our testament to the world that we are one body. How can we expect the world to listen to our message when we can’t even work through our offenses and agree on something? This is not the time for a last-minute rescue from heaven. It IS the time for the Bride of Christ to rise up together and agree on His purposes. This is our prime directive in this season.

We are at a tipping point in history when our resolve to stand together is being tested. Many are being offended and falling prey to media manipulation tactics. We are not choosing sides against each other. We are taking a stand for righteousness, even if its packaged differently than what we might like. Our faith is being tested; not in our ability to make sense of the political process, but in our ability to see the real spiritual battle before us.

Rather than simply “voting your conscience”, perhaps we should be consider just voting together. Our enemy is not a questionable candidate, but the anti-Christ spirit that has infiltrated the ranks. Let’s not allow the smokescreen to blind us from doing what is right. Make your vote count for something and vote for life, covenant marriage, and the freedom needed to possess our spiritual inheritance in this land.
