Meet the Political Party That’s Pushing Polyamory

The Green Party is “open” to formally recognizing polyamorous relationships. Yes, you read that right.

Natalie Bennett has come out with the disturbing revelation that her party is “open to consultation” on legalizing polygamy and civil partnerships with three—or even more than three—people.

According to The Independent, Dr. Redfern Jon Barrett asked Bennett a pointed question at an event Pink News organized:

“As someone living with his two boyfriends in a stable long-term relationship, I would like to know (what) your stance is on polyamory rights. Is there room for Green support on group civil partnerships or marriages?”

Bennett made clear that the Green party doesn’t currently have a specific policy on legal partnerships that involve multiple people. But she was also clear that such a policy was not out of the question.

“We have led the way on many issues related to the liberalization of legal status in adult consenting relationships, and we are open to further conversation and consultation on this issue,” she said, later adding that, “homophobia, transphobia and biphobia are still too common in our society and too many people fear their impact in the workplace, in their schools and on the streets.”

Thankfully, this Green Party is not in the United Kingdom, not the United States. The Green Party describes itself as a political system that puts public image first and promotes an economy that gives everyone their fair share and facilitates a society that supports everyone’s needs.

Could we see a Green Party in America? We may very well, though many in the Democratic Party is already filling this bill well. And the media is doing plenty to help. I’ve written plenty about the media pushing polyamory. Let’s review:

Showtime is aired an original series called Polyamory: Married & Dating, which follows two polyamorous families living in Southern California. This shameful show puts another perverted twist on reality TV just as did Sister Wives when it started broadcasting an inside view of modern polygamy where a man is “happily married” to three wives.

NBC last year rolled out a report called True Believers, that gets up close and a little too personal with a polyamorous “family” about what it’s like to “live with multiple partners without sacrificing the comforts of home.” This so-called “family” includes five adults and a 9-year-old girl who believe their lifestyle is completely normal.

Although polyamory is illegal in 21 states, statistics on polyamory are difficult to come by. NBC suggested 5 percent of people in the United States are in polyamorous relationships. The NBC report reveals there are over 900 in Atlanta’s polyamory community. My own research reveals one group, Open Love NY, has more than 1,000 members with an increase in new members since it launched in 2009.

Yes, polyamory is the new darling of an immoral media. How long before it’s a darling of the liberal left? Probably not long.

Some have called polyamory the next civil rights movement that will vie for full marriage equality. Polyamory is already a legislative issue in Canada. Rest assured, America is next. The shadow of Sodom and Gomorrah hangs over America. The question is: Will churches bow to polyamorous immorality like so many are to the gay rights movement? When is enough finally enough?

Pockets of true revival are breaking out across America. Want to know more about the next great move of God? Click here to see Jennifer LeClaire’s new book, featuring Dutch Sheets, Reinhard Bonnke, Jonathan Cahn, Billy Graham and others.
