A solidarity mission led by Pastor Mario Bramnick, president of the Latino Coalition for Israel, recently met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman and other high-ranking government officials. Bramnick’s delegation included Rev. Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council; Sara Carter, Fox News contributor; and Ellie Cohanim, deputy special envoy to monitor and combat antisemitism during the Trump administration. The delegation made its trip to stand in support of Israel and the Netanyahu government in the wave of the U.S. pressure for Palestinian statehood.

The delegates expressed their solidarity to the prime minister not only in the wake of the Oct. 7 attacks but also in support of Israel’s military efforts and in its protection of the sovereignty of Israel in light of U.S. pressure toward a unilateral two-state solution.

Evangelical support of Israel in America and worldwide is essential and more important today than at any other time in the history of modern Israel. The faith leaders also received a security briefing and toured key strategic areas, including the Gaza envelope, Israel’s north and Judea and Samaria. There was a time of prayer and repentance at the Nova Music Festival in the Gaza corridor to repent for the actions of the U.S. government that led to the Oct. 7 massacre.

Israel, a sovereign nation, should and must be allowed to make its own decisions regarding statehood without external pressures, and the delegation expressed that to the prime minister. Israel stands firm in its rejection of unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state, which would reward terrorism and be an impediment to future peace settlements. Such imposition by the Biden administration undermines the sovereignty and security of the state of Israel.

The delegation stated the need to reject any U.S. or international mandates concerning a permanent settlement with the Palestinians. Such a settlement, if achievable, should be the product of direct negotiations between the concerned parties, devoid of any preconditions. Israel and the United States are fighting a common enemy, an enemy that wants to destroy not just Israel, but also the Western world.

Bramnick’s junket additionally met with Cabinet Secretary Yossi Fuchs, Chairman of the Executive of The Jewish Agency for Israel Doran Almog, Knesset member Ohad Tal and Chairman of the Samaria Regional Council in the West Bank Yossi Dagan. It is important that evangelical leaders make their voices heard in opposition of the Biden administration’s push for a unilateral decision of a two-state solution.

Additionally, the Latino Coalition for Israel hosted an event with Latin American ambassadors on the rise of antisemitism in America. The Bible states that “he (God) who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” (Ps. 121:4, NIV). God has an unconditional covenant with the nation of Israel; we cannot say the same about America.

“I believe there is a spiritual existential threat in America,” Bramnick says. “If we as Americans turn our backs against Israel, we have no hope for God’s favor, grace or protection, only of wrath and judgment.

“I believe the church and the Jewish people are standing together in an ‘Esther moment’ and are facing a wave of Hamans,” he continues. “Hamans have arisen not just in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran, but also in the United States and European Union in an attempt to destroy the Jewish people.

“This is our moment,” Branmick adds. “It is for this time that as Christians, like Esther, we have to stand up against these anti-Israel decrees in the month of Adar to raise our voice to reverse every Haman decree against Israel and against the Jewish people.”{eoa}
