If the Republicans had attacked President Obama with the same gusto as they’re going after Donald Trump, Mitt Romney would be running for a second term in the White House.
But if there’s one thing the GOP hates worse than Mr. Trump—it’s their base. But instead of governing as Republicans, they kowtow to Democrats.
The Establishment treats conservatives like they’re cousin Eddie showing up unannounced for Christmas dinner. We sent those people to Washington to get rid of “Obamacare,” defund Planned Parenthood and secure our borders.
All that rhetoric about them wanting a Big Tent party is a bunch of grade-A fertilizer—they want your votes, not your values.
The is truth is there are a lot more gun-toting Bible clingers in the Grand Old Party than there are martini-sipping country clubbers. And between you and me, that has the Republican National Committee shaken. Unfortunately, they’re still not stirred.
