Pakistan is known for its ties to terrorism and its predominantly Muslim population. Recently its been closed due to COVID-19. Yet last week in a city called Vehari thousands heard the Gospels and saw incredible miracles that led to the salvation of souls!
We had an incredible gospel crusade tonight in Vehari, Pakistan. Vehari is not a city that most evangelists go to. In fact, Vehari has never had a crusade like this in its history! Many evangelists like to go to the places where there is a good amount of Christians so they will have a big meeting, but Vehari is not one of those places. In fact, I’m told by the locals that Vehari is a stronghold for another religion and is actually very dangerous to openly preach that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. This sounded like just the place to do a gospel crusade. Praise God! My heart burns to bring the gospel to the places others don’t want to go and the place’s that have never had crusades before.
After traveling several hours to get there, we were greeted at the crusade by several of the local religious leaders from another religion. We invited them as a way of showing them that we are not against them, but that we actually love them. We just want them to know the love of God and the salvation that only comes through Jesus Christ. They greeted us and honored us by putting shawls over our shoulders and we made them our guests of honor by seating them on the platform.
Then I took the microphone and began to preach a crystal clear gospel message that even a child could understand. When I made the call for salvation, almost the entire crowd stood up to receive salvation, even after telling them several times that this call was only for those who have NEVER received Jesus Christ before. It was an overwhelming response. Praise God!
After the altar call for salvation, I prayed for the sick and Jesus did mighty miracles! One man walked on stage and threw his crutches on the stage as if to say, “I’m done using these!” And walked over to me without them with a smile from ear to ear. He confessed that he couldn’t walk without them for the last seven months after getting into an accident and tonight Jesus had healed him! He was so excited! You can watch the clip HERE.
These miracles seemed to inspire everyone else who got healed to rush the stage to come share their testimonies. In fact, there were so many people who got healed and wanted to testify, they pushed past our security teams and got on stage and the next thing I knew, I had a crowd swarming me on stage trying to take the mic from me and testify. It was holy chaos!
We heard testimonies of people who were healed of golf ball size tumors that vanished, people who couldn’t walk without excruciating pain who were healed, demoniacs who were set free and even a man who had tubes coming out the side of his neck who testified of being healed. There were so many miracles, it’s hard to remember them all amidst the holy chaos!
One thing was certain, Jesus was lifted up and everyone heard time and time again from those who testified, “Jesus has healed me!” Hallelujah! Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever and it’s my joy to see people meet Jesus. Praise God!
This was an amazing trip, and even though there is a very real risk of physical harm and persecution, I can’t wait to come back to this region. We just saw too much of God’s mercy and goodness to do anything else.
We also had two very important meetings this week with the commissioner of Sahiwal, Pakistan and the president of the chamber of commerce of Sahiwal. Both of them were very eager to meet us and we had very good discussions about working together on future crusades and humanitarian projects that are on my heart. The commissioner also granted us permission to rent the city’s largest cricket stadium next year for a big crusade! Praise God!
It has been an amazing trip and I can’t wait to see what the Lord does here in the years to come. This trip will conclude after we move from Vehari to another city a few hours away and afterwards I’ll be ministering at a local church for their Sunday service.
