Our battle is not against flesh and blood, according to the Bible, it is a spiritual battle taking place all around us. This does not mean Christians are to remain silent as those who seek to corrupt and pervert the world against its Creator’s principles, design and morality. We are, in fact, called to expose the unfruitful works of darkness according to Ephesians 5:11.
There is a man, a particular man, who is wreaking havoc in the state of California, and if you think his goal is to keep the sick and twisted laws he helps pass grounded in California, you would be sorely mistaken.
California State Sen. Scott Wiener is largely responsible for the anti-child and anti-parental laws being swept through the state’s government that are aimed at removing children from homes and putting them in the care of the government.
Wiener is a Harvard-educated politician who is one of the driving forces behind the country’s most radical and anti-God laws and exhibitions.
He focuses much of his time on not just promoting, but pushing LGBTQ ideologies onto the citizenry he represents, San Francisco and across the state.
But don’t take my word for it. Just look at some of the bills Weiner is responsible for on the California government website:
—AB-957, which was just passed, will be used in court to punish parents who do not affirm their children’s transgender identities. If you do not support your child’s transition, you will be punished for it.
— SB-107 will remove a child who travels to California from out of state from their parents so that the child may obtain transgender procedures. Yes, California has legalized kidnapping in the name of radical transgender ideologies.
— SB-145 actually reduced the penalty for offenders who sodomize children as young as 14. Jesus’ words in Matthew 18:6 come to mind; His words reveal how much He abhors the mistreatment of children.
— SB-866 allows children to consent to medial decisions without their parent’s knowledge. With the misinformation flooding young people’s minds in today’s social media-saturated culture, a child can receive transgender procedures that will leave their body mutilated for the rest of their lives without their parents even knowing.
— SB-239 also reduces a penalty for those who knowingly, and perhaps intentionally, give someone AIDS without informing them. This is legalizing a deception that radically alters a person’s life for the worse, and may even lead to death, all in the name of erasing the stigma around having AIDS, a practice to which Wiener has been committed for a majority of his political career.
— And SB-132, which requires prisons to put males in female prisons if they claim to identify as women. There have already been multiple reports of male inmates assaulting the female prisoners in the wake of laws such as this one being passed.
While many across the country see laws like this being passed and they know it is evil, even those who do not believe in Christianity—such as podcaster Joe Rogan, billionaire Elon Musk and many others—are waking up to the ramifications of the spiritual depravity being made law in states such as California.
And don’t think for one second this is not a spiritual issue, because it is.
Wiener often celebrates at the heretical, and frankly disheartening, “Foxy Mary and Hunky Jesus” competition held in San Francisco, where over 10,000 people gather to mock and hypersexualize the one who gave His life for them.
It is heartbreaking to see just how lost and spiritually dead this number of people are, because God still loves them and wants to see them repent of their sins.
The same is true for Scott Wiener.
It is so easy for a Christian to hate this man. He is enabling pedophiles and harming children. He mocks God and drags society down a path that leads to eternal death.
But Christians are not called to hate him. If anything, Wiener has put a spiritual target for intercessors on his back.
Intercessors are needed for men and women like him to combat the principalities and powers who have taken hold of their lives.
Wiener is just as responsible for his actions as anyone else. The devil does not make him do it, but he certainly does influence him.
What other way is there to break the spiritual hold over the lives of people like this man but with the power of the Holy Spirit?
The Lord God in heaven is the breaker of chains, and there is power, wonder-working power, in the blood of the Lamb. We as Christians can never forget that.
The acts of perversion and sin that Wiener not only promotes but spreads like a plague are truly reprehensible, so if Christians truly want to see a stop to them, then lift this man and others like him up in prayer!
Fast and pray for politicians who create these types of bills that only do harm to the citizens of this country so that they will have a radical encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ.
There must not be any doubt in the power of God to radically alter the course of a person’s life.
Paul was responsible for the outright murder of Christians, and just look at how mightily God was able to use him.
God has a plan for Wiener as well. But the question remains: Will he ever realize it?
If all believers do is wag their finger at him and judge, if all they do is throw hatred his way, the chances of his conversion drastically reduce.
But if Christians lift him up in prayer with Christlike love in their hearts, they greatly increase the likelihood of the spiritual atmosphere around Wiener changing and having major breakthroughs in his life.
This breakthrough would create a champion for Christ in the same manner as Pau. Going from the darkest dark to the saving light of Jesus Christ in someone who has a large platform from which the gospel of Jesus would be proclaimed for his many, many lost followers to hear is the nightmare Satan fears most.
Until that time comes, it should be priority for Christians to lift up the name of perhaps the most dangerous man in America before the altar of the Lord so that he may stop destroying families, ruining children’s lives and promoting a lifestyle that mocks and insults the King of kings and Lord of lords.
