Right Out of A Horror Story – Surreal Details Arise in Gabby Petito Case

Share:

As the murder of 22-year-old Gabby Petito remains a mystery, her fiancée, Brian Laundrie, continues to be sought by police as a “person of interest” in a case that daily grows in national interest. He has not yet been named a suspect.

Yet there are peculiarities that have arisen in the case surrounding Laundrie, including “chilling” social media posts that are being scrutinized online, The U.S. Sun is reporting. Petito was reported missing on Sept. 11, ten days after Laundrie returned home from a trip out west to Florida alone in the couple’s white Ford transit van.

Human remains matching Petito’s description were found inside Grand National Park on Tuesday and a corner confirmed that it was indeed Petito’s body. Her death was ruled a homicide.

The U.S. Sun reported that, on a Pinterest profile that belongs to Landrie, he had “pinned several images depicting violence, death and references to movies and pop culture in a folder titled ‘watercolor.’ At least three of the images in the folder of 128 pins reference H.G. Wells’ science fiction novel, The Invisible Man.

The book was adapted into a movie in 2020, starring Elizabeth Moss, which told the story of a crazed scientist who fakes his suicide and makes himself invisible to torment his ex.

Nbcnewyork.com reported that Laundrie’s parents said they haven’t seen their son since last Tuesday as his disappearance remains a mystery. {eoa}
