Movieguide®’s Movies That Inspire will premiere on the REELZ channel on Easter Sunday and take viewers behind the scenes of 2019’s most inspirational movies that will help improve your personal life, your family life, your business life, and your future life.
The program will air at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, and again at 1 a.m. ET April 13/10 p.m. PT April 12. Check your local listings here.
“With so much uncertainty and discouragement in our world right now, this program will encourage viewers to see how movies can indeed give us hope and answers,” said Evy Baehr Carroll, program host.
Movieguide®’s Movies that Inspire feature uplifting interviews with some of today’s biggest celebrities, including Tom Hanks, Saoirse Ronan, Tim Allen, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland, and Chris Pratt, among others.
The unique program includes never-before-seen footage and commentary, and it honors the movies that encourage viewers to choose hope and righteousness over fear and sin.
Furthermore, it may be one of the only programs available on television where celebrities openly glorify God for His work and goodness in their lives.
“Movies can be a great place for us to see God’s heart in action,” Carroll said. “We can learn so much about identity, compassion, friendship, sacrifice, and faith through these films.”
Some of the movies honored include THE LEGO MOVIE 2: THE SECOND PART, A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, OVERCOMER, BREAKTHROUGH, LION KING, MIDWAY, and FORD V FERARI, among others.
