Got Issues? This Is How You’re Supposed to Struggle

Share:

“When we look at the body of Christ, and all of us Jesus-lovers, we have issues. All of us do.”

So says longtime pastor, crisis marriage counselor and author Dr. Fred Antonelli, who spoke with Dr. Steve Greene about his new book, Struggling Well, on “Greenelines” on the Charisma podcast network.

These issues, Antonelli says, entered the world in the Garden of Eden, when Adam and Eve chose sin over God’s way. But, he adds, Jesus understands.

“He was a Man of Sorrows. He was acquainted with grief. He was both fully God and fully man. … So He empathizes, not just sympathizes.”

And out of that empathy, Antonelli says, Christ offers help and hope. “We got messed up. … The only person that can give us a center in that and give us hope and a promise of redemption is Jesus.”

We all struggle, but Jesus enables us to struggle well. Listen to the podcast and learn how to bring your issues to Him.
