Donald Trump Thinks Someone Should Drop Out of GOP Presidential Race

During a campaign rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Saturday afternoon, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump called on the GOP to take action.

“Now if I were running the party, I’d say, ‘Excuse me. If you can’t win the State of X, a major state, if can’t win Virginia because you’re not allowed to go in, or if you can’t win South Carolina or you can’t win this one or that one, because you didn’t file, that means it’s taken off your list, you’re not allowed to be in the debate anymore,'” he said.

In essence, he’s saying he’d like to see the low-polling candidates removed from the debate stage. That way, the higher-polling candidates like him, U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), and Dr. Ben Carson have more time to devote to serious campaign issues.

“We need more time,” he said. “You know, when we’re talking about terrorism, I don’t want to be given 30 seconds. ‘Mr. Trump, in 30 seconds, what would you do about terrorism, sir?’ I said, ’30 seconds?'”
