Pelosi Compares GOP Tax Reform Bill to ‘Armageddon’

According to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, if the GOP tax reform bill is passed, the world will come to an apocalyptic conclusion very soon.

The New York Post reported that, in speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill on Monday night, the high-profile representative from California said “It is the end of the world. The debate on health care if life/death. This is Armageddon.”

The measure has passed both the Senate and the House, but Congress still needs to agree on a single piece of legislation that both chambers must approve before it is sent to President Donald Trump for his signature.

Pelosi recently tweeted, “The #GOPTaxScam is one of the worst bills to be brought to the floor in the history of the United States. We will fight with everything we have to stop this bill from becoming the law of the land.”

Jesse Hunt, spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee, slammed Pelosi when he told Fox News, “Nancy Pelosi has no shame. The only Armageddon she’s facing is the one from her own caucus after Democrats fail to take back the House for the fourth cycle in a row.” {eoa}
