Gingrich Warning: ‘The Forces of Intolerance’ Will Get Much Worse

Former House Speaker and presidential candidate Newt Gingrich believes that there’s a “radical and anti-American … assault on religious liberty” afoot, and he’s taking it to task in a new video course titled “Defending America.

In a preview clip from a portion of the course that focuses on defending faith, Gingrich discusses America’s rich faith history—one that is rooted in feverishly defending religious liberty.

“Walk around our national monuments and realize how, again and again, Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln … we’re reminded the relationship they had to God,” Gingrich proclaims in the clip. “The belief they had that America was a country in which God mattered and in which belief in God was central.”
