Pastor Robert Jeffress: ‘Today, Trump Was Churchill’

Robert Jeffress, senior pastor of First Baptist Dallas, lauded President Donald Trump’s Speech Tuesday to the United Nations General Assembly in which Trump called out North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for his “reckless” pursuit of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles.

It was Trump’s first-ever speech in front of the U.N. General Assembly. He warned Un that the United States would “totally destroy” North Korea if he does not relent from continuing his well-known pursuit of using nuclear weapons offensively.

 “Rocket Man (Un) is one a suicide mission for himself and his regime,” Trump said. … “He threatens the entire world with unthinkable loss of human life.”

 In a statement released shortly after Trump’s speech, Jeffress said:

For far too long the United States has poured countless millions of dollars into a United Nations that fights against American interests, pacifies global tyrants, promotes anti-Semitism and mismanages humanitarian crises.

 President Trump’s inaugural visit to the U.N. General Assembly represents a day of reckoning for a near hopeless bureaucracy, and his inaugural speech was the most courageous speech ever delivered by any president to address that global body. Thank God for a president who will call evil “evil.” Today, Trump was Churchill.

Last week, North Korea conducted its longest-ever flight of a ballistic missile when it defiantly sent an intermediate-range weapon over U.S. ally Japan into the northern Pacific Ocean. {eoa}
