WikiLeaks: WaPo Wanted Trump ‘Oppo’ Really Badly

The Washington Post has been particularly aggressive in its efforts to derail the Trump Train in the 2016 presidential election cycle.

Back in April, one of the newspaper’s columnists, Dana Milbank, wrote a scathing piece about Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump titled “The Ten Plagues of Trump,” which focused on many of the candidate’s least appealing comments. What neither Milbank nor The Post noted in the article, however, was that much of the information contained in the piece came directly from DNC opposition research.

Thanks to WikiLeaks, now we know. Eight of the 10 “plagues” line up almost verbatim with “suggestions” he received from the DNC in an email dated April 21. The list was compiled by DNC Research staffers after DNC Deputy Communications Director Eric Walker forwarded Milbank’s request for dirt on Trump.

Based on the email chain, the request was expedited by staffers.
