While Hillary Was Busy Accusing Donald Trump of Antisemitism

So, while the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign attacked Donald Trump’s campaign for using a six-pointed star in a graphic, claiming it was antisemitic, it was trying to quash a report that their candidate has an even bigger problem in her past.

During her 2000 senatorial campaign, Clinton faced her own accusations of antisemitism—this time straight from her own mouth—in a book written by biographer Jerry Oppenheimer titled State of a Union: Inside the Complex Marriage of Bill and Hillary Clinton. Apparently, the comments attributed to Clinton—which cannot be published because they contain profanity—were made after former President Bill Clinton’s surprise loss in a 1974 congressional race.

Those claims were confirmed by an independent fact-checking effort.

The Guardian, a left-leaning newspaper in the United Kingdom approached three people who were present at the time. Paul Fray, who is Jewish and was Clinton’s campaign manager at the time, his wife, and another campaign worker, Paul McDonald, all confirmed the comments were made by Hillary Clinton.

At that time, President Clinton defended his wife and said the reports weren’t true. He told The Telegraph, another U.K. paper, Hillary was “fanatic” about not using racial slurs, although she may have uttered the profanities involved.

Hillary also denied the allegation:

“I have never said anything like that, ever. I have in the past certainly, you know maybe, called somebody a name. But I have never used an ethnic, racial, antisemitic, bigoted, discriminatory, prejudiced, accusation against anybody. I’ve never done it. I’ve never thought it.”
