‘Voting Is One of the Most Powerful Instruments in Our Toolbox’

Election Day 2020 has arrived—and the American Family Association (AFA) “literally believes that our republic is at stake in this election,” said Tim Wildmon, president of AFA.

This is a pivotal time for America.

“Our founders believed that the republic they created could only be maintained by a moral and religious people who stayed informed and participated in the politics of the nation on every level,” Wildmon said. “Christians especially have a responsibility to be salt and light in this culture—and voting is one of the most powerful instruments in our toolbox.”

“We as a people will be making decisions for our children and our grandchildren this election day—and deciding in what kind of country they will live and raise their children for at least the next generation, and maybe the next half-century,” said Dr. Richard Land, president of Southern Evangelical Seminary.

If the polls remain ahead later today, there’s still time to access iVoterGuide, which provides comprehensive research, important insights and data into key races nationwide—it shares a “who’s who” list of endorsers and donors for competing candidates. This immediately exposes sharp contrasts between candidates.

“What we’ve learned from early voting is that the American electorate has awakened,” said iVoterGuide president Debbie Wuthnow about the 2020 election. “If current trends continue, more people will be going to the polls than at any time in our history. The biggest question is: Are they educated before they go? Aside from the candidates at the top of the ticket, do voters know which candidates represent their values?”

From a Christian and conservative perspective, iVoterGuide’s expert researchers give an in-depth analysis—and overall rating—for 7,500-plus candidates in more than 3,000 races nationwide. {eoa}
