With former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton seemingly unable to shake off the primary challenge of U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.), Donald Trump and the Republicans gave her even more bad news on Tuesday night.

In a joint statement, Trump and the RNC announced they were going to coordinate their fundraising efforts to ensure donors will not only be donating the the businessman’s campaign, but also to Republican efforts to retain control of Congress. It includes a merging of their respective fundraising teams:

RNC Finance Chairman Lew Eisenberg has been selected to be the Finance Chair of Trump Victory. Eisenberg will work closely with Trump Campaign Finance Chair Steven Mnuchin to ensure a successful fundraising apparatus through November.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said Eisenberg will “do an outstanding job leading this effort.” He noted the GOP’s top fundraiser had already raised a record $135 million during the current election cycle.

“I have every confidence his track record of success will continue in this new role,” he added.

Trump said he was pleased to have worked out the partnership with the RNC, which is another sign he’s been at least moderately successful in working to unify the GOP for the November general election.

“By working together with the RNC to raise support for Republicans everywhere,” he said, “we are going to defeat Hillary Clinton, keep Republican majorities in Congress and in the states, and Make America Great Again.”

Priebus said the partnership with the Trump campaign will “expand the robust ground, data, and digital operation” that will help elect Republicans down-ballot.

“Donald Trump knows the importance of keeping our Republican majorities at the local, state, and national level and these joint fundraising agreements are another vital step in making that happen,” he added. “Donald Trump has received millions more votes than any candidate in the history of the Republican Party and we are confident that will carry forward into the general election.”
