Jews for Jesus Calls Jerusalem Online Charge ‘Flat-Out Lies’

Father Gabriel Naddaf

Jews for Jesus, the largest Jewish mission agency in the world, has refuted a report on jerusalemonline.com that the organization has links to Arab terrorists, according to a statement released this week.

In the jerusalemonline.com story, reporter Rachel Avraham writes that “missionaries from Jews for Jesus in Israel are allying themselves with the anti-Zionist Palestinian organization Musalaha in order to attack the Aramean Christian community.”

In statement, Jews for Jesus representatives wrote that, Father Gabriel Naddaf of Nazareth maligned Jews for Jesus, citing “conversations with two Jews for Jesus staff members, both of whom have served as soldiers in the IDF and currently serve in the Israeli reserves.”

David Brickner, executive director of Jews for Jesus, issued this response:

“These are flat-out lies. No representatives of Jews for Jesus were ever interviewed for this so-called news story. It is simply not true, and I ought to know.”

Dan Sered, Israel director of Jews for Jesus, was on an international platform with a staff member of one of the alleged terrorist sympathizers several years ago (in which they both spoke about reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians).

“Does that make me suspect? This kind of inference is very dangerous and can lead to terrible misunderstandings,” Sered said.

Jerusalemonline.com did not seek any comments from Jews for Jesus before publishing this article.

Jews for Jesus has branches in 13 countries and 25 cities.
