Trump Administration Says It Will No Longer Consider Israeli Settlements in West Bank to Be Illegal

Dr. Mike Evans, the founder of the Friends of Zion Museum and a member of the Trump Evangelical Advisory team, says that the Trump administration is effectively allowing Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank, and that these settlements will be considered legal.

The U.S. State Department has repudiated the Hansell Memorandum, which has set the precedent that Israeli “settlements” in Judea and Samaria are considered to be illegal. The move comes after the European Court of Justice’s ruling that they will be labeling products coming out of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

Dr. Mike Evans hosted a gala for the opening of the United States Embassy in Jerusalem, in addition to hosting world leaders from all across the world at his Friends of Zion Museum. Evans says that “for all Bible-believers, this is a huge accomplishment and is as big as the president’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.”

According to Evans, “America has finally decided that the Bible is no longer illegal.”

In other words, by this move, the United States government is recognizing the biblical prophecy of Judea and Samaria as part of Israel. He also believes that this move will allow the state of Israel to push forward with sovereignty in these disputed lands.

Supporters of Israel and President Trump believe that this president has done more than any other president in Israel’s history on securing the state of Israel. In the Bible, it says that those who bless Israel will themselves be blessed.

Dr. Mike Evans has also announced that his Friends of Zion Museum in Jerusalem will be building an exhibition dedicated to President Donald Trump. Evans bestowed the “Friends of Zion Award” to President Trump in the Oval Office on Dec. 11, 2017. The award was commissioned by former Shimon Peres, Israel’s ninth president and the former international chairman of FOZ.
