You’ve heard of Facebook. You may even be on Twitter. But are you a member of any Christian social networks?

Despite the niche popularity of sites such as ShoutLife.com and LifeSpace, Christian social networks are hardly mainstream. GodsFaithbook.com is hoping to change that with a Holy Land Holiday Sweepstakes.

The Christian social network is offering a seven-day, all-expense paid trip to Bethlehem. GodsFaithbook.com is promising to pay for airfare, deluxe hotel accommodations, meals and all excursions.

Every aspect of this enriching experience will be unforgettable “from the Grotto at the Church of The Nativity to the places where Jesus actually walked, preached and performed His miracles. It will be as if the Bible has come to life, a company official says.

The sweepstakes sounded good at first, but the site doesn’t offer any mention of a sweepstakes. The announcement said even nonmembers can enter to win, but there is no option for entering the sweepstakes without becoming a member.

GodsFaithBook.com’s announcement also said the more visits you make, the more times your name will find its way into the virtual hat. And if you choose to chat, upload or download a picture or video, or add or read a prayer, you also get additional entries. Clearly, the strategy is to drive membership and keep you on the site as long as possible.

The bottom line: We’re not talking about a trip to Bethlehem this Christmas or even next Christmas. GodsFaithBook.com will draw a winner on Nov. 28, 2012.

There isn’t any contact information for GodsFaithBook.com, which appears to be based in Boca Raton, Fla., so proceed with caution if you decide to enter this sweepstakes.
