Christian Boy Attacked and Dies. No Charges will Be Brought

A 16-year-old Indian boy has just passed away after suffering from an acid attack that occurred on August 28th of this year.

Persecution.org reported, “16-year-old Nitish Kumar was attacked with acid last week in north India’s Bihar state leaving him with burns covering 60% of his body.”

Kumar’s sister, Raja Davabi stated, “It was a horrifying scene of my brother. I started yelling and crying looking at my brother. He was in terrible pain at that point and all I could do is to share the pain by wrapping him in my hands.”

Since that day, Kumar had been battling for his life. He had spent the last 46 days in the hospital, but on October 1, lost the battle and went to his eternal home to be with the Lord.

A local pastor reported, “The doctors have tried every possible way to revive Nitish. Every alternative day, the doctors gave one unit of blood and had regular dressing changed on almost the entire body. We taped that he would bounce back to life, but we know God has His way and time.”

The attack occurred after the family had been threatened by Hindu nationalists.

According to CBN, “Nitish and his family converted to Christianity two years ago after being delivered from an evil spirit. Since then, members of the family became church leaders and led fellowship in their houser, where dozens of people regularly attended prayer gatherings.”

Open Doors reports that, “Hindu extremists believe that all Indians should be Hindus, and that the country should be rid of Christianity and Islam. They use extensive violence to achieve this goal, particularly targeting Christians from a Hindu background.” {eoa}
