Artist and author Matt Tommey says every believer was created to thrive. God is creative, and He wants to manifest His creativity through us.
And that creativity is not just for traditional artists, Tommey emphasizes. “Whether it’s in business or education or whatever God’s called you to, that creative process is … actually how the kingdom works and how the kingdom gets manifested in the earth.”
In order for that to happen, however, Tommey says, we must begin to think like the kingdom.
“If you want to move forward and be transformed, you’ve got to renew your mind,” Tommey told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent edition of “Greenelines” on the Charisma Podcast Network. “Understand where there’s a disconnect, understand where there’s woundedness, understand where there’s a pitfall or a propensity to operate in that old grid, that old mindset, and just invite the Holy Spirit in, allow Him to begin to reveal truth about who you are and what’s possible.”
“When you begin to make that shift, that’s when you can really begin to see life as the Holy Spirit inspires and as the Father intended,” Tommey says. “Then it’s like double doors of favor begin to open up in your life. It’s a matter of just cooperating with the task He opens up before you.”
In his book Created to Thrive, Tommey challenges readers to start living life from a new blueprint based on God’s divine design. Once you do, he says, your heart will be unlocked, and your imagination will be set free to resonate with the kingdom that’s already living inside you.
