When a Teen Is Trapped Under a Truck, You Won’t Believe How God Answered His Prayer

Siri saved Sam Ray's life.

Sam Ray was working on his truck when the jack collapsed, trapping him underneath the vehicle.

The 18-year-old needed a miracle, so he started to pray

“I just kept praying out loud, ‘Lord, get me out of this,'” Ray says. “I kept reciting Philippians 4:13, ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.'”

That’s when a voice responded. It wasn’t a chorus of angels as much as it was Siri, Apple’s voice-command system.

“I said, ‘Call 911,’ and that was all it said,” Ray says. A few moments later, the operator was on the phone and Ray was soon whisked away to Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Ray managed to escape with some broken ribs, a bruised kidney, a cut on the forehead, and second- and third-degree burns.

Doctors and nurses are in awe, saying trappings often have a different outcome.

“We’re always concerned with crush injuries, and the longer a patient is trapped, the more problems they can have,” Kirk Krokosky, one of Sam’s flight nurses, says. “He could have been there for hours, but as fate would have it, Siri was sort of his guardian angel.”
