ORU praying for Ukraine

Students, faculty and staff from Oral Roberts University lifted up Ukraine in prayer during a chapel service held last Wednesday. ORU President Billy Wilson invited Ukrainian students to the stage to lead the prayer for the hurting nation.

“I was honored in the early 1990s to travel into Ukraine multiple times,” Wilson said. “It is a beautiful nation where we saw thousands of people invite Christ into their lives. Today, Ukraine is fighting a spiritual battle for the heart and soul of the people along with its political future. We wanted to support our Ukrainian students by praying for their country during this tumultuous time.”

“It was an honor to pray for the country my parents and grandparents grew up in,” said ORU graduate student Vladimir Garbuz Jr. “It is a privilege to attend a university that cares for the physical, mental and spiritual health of the world.”
