The pastor of a Texas church has been charged with murder in the shooting death of his nephew.
The Rev. Luther Jones of Belgrade Baptist Church in Bon Wier, Texas, was reportedly in custody for questioning after the Sunday morning shooting and was charged with murder that night.
Juanita Jones, a member of the church, told 12 News Now that the victim was her brother, 34-year-old Curtis Paul Jones. According to KWTX.com, she said the two men were involved in a long-running family feud, but she declined to comment further. Police have yet to release a motive for the murder.
The victim was reportedly shot three times in his SUV while in the driveway of the church at around 10:30 a.m. local time.
The pastor went free Monday after posting bond, which a judge set for $100,000.
