Running Man

It may not be what Paul meant when he wrote about finishing his race, but the first-century apostle would probably be eager to join the evangelism-minded running program a Georgia saint birthed a year ago.

Mitchell Hollis is on a mission to prepare people to be better witnesses for Chrisphysically, mentally and spiritually. He started Run For God to blend his passion for running with his passion for spreading the gospel. The program’s 5K Challenge, a 12-week small group Bible study and training plan, helps believers start—and finish—a 5K run.

Run for God has expanded to 20 states and 96 cities in just a year. Runners wear T-shirts that read “Run for God,” and a portion of the proceeds from each 5K Challenge goes to charity.
