Bishop Porter emphasized the importance of credibility and various other qualities required to effectively run a church. He acknowledged that Bishop Hutchins Sr. had not anticipated his untimely passing and had plans for retirement rather than a sudden departure. In light of this, Bishop Porter called for unity among family members to honor and preserve Bishop Derrick Hutchins Sr.’s legacy. He shared a personal moment when his own son advised him to release the burden of the fight, as it was no longer his to bear.
