How Last Week’s Earthquakes in California Are Serving This Divine Purpose

End-times expert Michael Snyder isn’t particularly fond of earthquakes, like the two major ones that hit Southern California last week. But then, Snyder says, a little shaking, especially in today’s culture, can serve as a wake-up call for God’s people to come to repentance.

“Shaking can be good,” Snyder told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of “Greenelines” on the Charisma Podcast Network. “A lot of times we get so complacent, we get so distracted, we get so caught up in our lives that God is put on the back burner.

“When something comes along that shakes us, it can shake us into the realization that we need God, whether it’s on an individual level or a national level. And so, all of a sudden, there is shaking in California. Doesn’t the Bible have something to say about it? Didn’t Jesus say something about earthquakes that can shake people to look back at God?

“We remember 9/11. It shook us kind of on a national level to where, all of a sudden, the churches started to fill up again. Of course, that didn’t last too long. Or, if there’s political shaking. Any type of major shaking will shake us and cause us to turn to the Lord. That’s what we need as a nation desperately at this time. We need to turn to the Lord. So, the shaking could have a purpose as a warning to turn us back to Him. There is a lot of negative stuff going on. But the negative stuff can have a redemptive purpose and turn us back to the Lord Jesus Christ, which is what America needs right now more than anything else.”
