Cahn’s speech was part of a prayer meeting called “Washington: A Man of Prayer,” which celebrated the events that took place April 30, 1789, when Washington offered a prayer of dedication to God on America’s behalf as one of his first official acts after he was sworn in at Federal Hall.

The event, attended by government officials, members of Congress, justices and other invited guests, was hosted by Rep. Michele Bachmann and emceed by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
