Franklin Graham Thanks Christians for their Prayers for His Recovery

On Facebook Wednesday, from his hospital bed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, Evangelist Franklin Graham sent out a special thank you to believers who have prayed for his recovery from specialized heart surgery. He underwent surgery to remove a pericardium around his heart, and doctors say he should expect a full recovery.

“I want to thank all of you who have prayed for me and shared such encouraging words while I am in the hospital,” Graham said. “It means more than you know. I thank God for the good reports. My doctors say I’m doing well and recovering normally.”

With Thanksgiving Day approaching in a couple of weeks (Nov. 25), Graham also sent out a message to reach the unsaved.

As we approach Thanksgiving, what are you thankful for this year? Graham asked. I am thankful for my salvation, that God loved me enough to send Jesus from Heaven to this earth to take my sins; that he died on a cross and shed his blood for my sins. He was buried and God raised Him to life. I was 22 years old when I asked Jesus Christ to come into my heart. I’ve never regretted that moment.”

I hope you will share this message with those on your social media. Ad if you haven’t put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, I pray you will do that today. It’s the most important decision any of us will ever make.”
