Franklin Graham will be the featured speaker for the Assemblies of God Discipleship Ministries luncheon being held on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the 55th General Council in Orlando.

Graham serves as president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the international relief organization Samaritan’s Purse. Combined, these highly regarded not-for-profit organizations have a total annual budget in excess of $439 million.

Challenging Christians from all walks of life to make a difference in the world—in their world—Graham’s messages are trademarked by biblical context and application to current national and world events.

Wes Bartel, national Discipleship Ministries director, says that Graham’s message will dovetail with the launching of a new Discipleship Ministries initiative to win people to Christ.

“During the luncheon, we will introduce a powerful evangelism initiative called My Hope America, a nationwide effort to reach people across the United States with the gospel of Jesus Christ,” Bartel says. “This initiative follows a simple biblical model that encourages and provides training for Christians across America to open their homes to share the gospel message with friends, family, colleagues and neighbors. If you are serious about fulfillment of the Great Commission, you will want to attend!”
