Ed Cole’s Million Man Mentoring Movement Still Changing Lives

Many organizations have dreams about changing the world, but few actually realize their goals. One Dallas-based ministry, however, is proving its possible to make a worldwide impact one man at a time.

In the past 36 years, Christian Men’s Network has trained more than a million men in more than 100 countries, and that number continues to grow exponentially. Each month, more than 350,000 men participate in the most popular men’s curriculum in the world. CMN invites men to gather April 18-20 in Dallas at Lions Roar 2013, to strategize and synergize with world-class national and international leaders who are “majoring in men.”

“Men are looking for an authentic road to success in every area of life,” said Paul Louis Cole, President of Christian Men’s Network. “At CMN, we provide a way for men to discover who they are in God and to learn practical ways they can love their wives, build strong children and discover the strength of purpose in their life.”

Christian Men’s Network was founded in 1977 by the late Dr. Edwin Louis Cole, known by many as “the father of the men’s movement.” The overwhelming success is found in men engaging a simple process. The curriculum studied in men’s groups helps build genuine relationships. The main subject of the curriculum is that “manhood and Christlikeness are synonymous.”

“As men who know the Lord, it is important to understand how to relate to our manhood,” says Dr. Jack Hayford, founder of The King’s University. “I want to urge every man to come to Lions Roar.”

At the upcoming Lions Roar Global Men’s Summit in Dallas, leaders from more than 20 nations will discuss ways to help men to maximize their abilities, influence and faith.

“Christian Men’s Network is not a ministry, it’s a mentoring movement that changes lives,” said Eddy Leo, pastor of Abbalove Church in Jakarta, Indonesia.

With more than 240,000 members and more than 40 men’s centers throughout Indonesia, Pastor Leo will oversee more than 150,000 men this year going through the CMN “Majoring in Men” curriculum.

“Today we have the grandchildren of men who attended the first classes now completing the course and being commissioned to reach more men,” Cole said. “God has taken CMN through generation after generation of men. We have grown from humble beginnings, in a garage in Southern California 36 years ago, to a reach beyond our expectations. It is quite astounding.”

In addition to Leo, guest speakers include Bishop Harry Jackson, pastor of Hope Christian Church in Washington, D.C.; Jim Garlow, pastor of Skyline Wesleyan Church in San Diego, Calif.; Dr. Raleigh Washington, president and CEO of Promise Keepers; Pat Robertson, founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network; Michael John Cusick, author and founder of Restoring the Soul Ministries; and Ted DiBiase, former WWE wrestler and founder of Heart Of David Ministries.
