Now featured on BootCampaign.com is the official “boot photo” of star quarterback Colt McCoy and pastor Matt Carter. By joining the Boot Campaign, the two men are helping the nonprofit in its strides to show tangible appreciation for our active military, raise awareness of the challenges they face upon return and support their transition home. This Boot Campaign photo release comes on the heels of McCoy and Carter’s recently published book, The Real Win: A Man’s Quest for Authentic Success.

Carter and McCoy join a growing chorus of more than 300 actors, pro athletes, musicians, politicians and other celebrities lacing up combat boots for the Boot Campaign’s photo awareness effort.

Through the sale of its signature military combat boots, general public donations and corporate sponsorship, the Boot Campaign operates five distinct initiatives—housing, jobs, wellness, urgent assistance and family support—that care for military personnel, past and present, healing from a variety of physical and emotional combat wounds.

As a college student, McCoy was the winningest quarterback in the history of NCAA football and led his University of Texas team to the 2010 BCS national championship game. He is involved in several ministries around the world.

Carter is the founding pastor of the 8,000-member Austin Stone Community Church and the author of several books. He also speaks at conferences nationwide.

“The real win means trusting the Lord and walking with Jesus no matter what,” write McCoy and Carter. “That kind of faithfulness is possible for any man who follows God with all his heart. No matter what circumstances threaten him, a faithful man is the most truly confident man in the room.”
