Catholic University Approves Pro-ISIS Club

Students from Barry University in Miami, Fl.

In an investigative piece for the Project Veritas, a group of students proposed and had approved a pro-Islamic State club on a university campus.

“It’s called students, sympathetic students in support of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria,” the student in the video tells Derek Bly, coordinator for leadership development and student organizations at Barry University.

When she proposes bulk shipments of flashlights to protect the ISIS fighters, the supervisor talks costs—not morality. Actually, he suggests Costco, known for shipping items in bulk.

When another student brings up that many countries are in conflict with the Islamic State, Daisy Santiago, the international and multicultural programs coordinator at the university tells them to just change ISIS to “Middle East.”

The student founder, Laura, is an honors student at the Miami, Florida, college. She’s is working with Project Veritas to expose ISIS sympathizers through the guise of starting a club. When she walked in with the forms, Bly doesn’t bat an eye.

Laura just needs 10 people to fill out a roster, he says, and with a few more steps, she’s good to go—even if that club supports an organization that has United Nations sanctions.

The video, according to Project Veritas, was released by PV President James O’Keefe.

“It is disturbing to see our nation’s university system festooned with professors and administrators that are sympathetic to ISIS,” O’Keefe says. “First, we saw this horrifying support at Cornell University and now we have numerous officials at Barry taking things even further. As demonstrated at Cornell and Barry, our nation’s university system is being overrun by those who subscribe to ivory-tower political correctness and that is truly dangerous to our nation and our nation’s students. It is time to stop looking the other way and address this very serious issue.”
