Empowered21 will give the first Lifetime Global Impact Awards at the upcoming Global Congress to be held May 20-25, 2015. These awards will honor Christian men and women who have made a significant impact on the world through the power of the Holy Spirit. Honorees include Reinhard Bonnke, Morris Cerullo, Jack Hayford, Marilyn Hickey, David Mainse and Vinson Synan.

“The Bible instructs us to ‘give honor to whom honor is due.’ It is with great joy that we present awards to these forefathers of the Spirit-empowered movement,” said William M. Wilson, president and global co-chair of Empowered21. “The collective ministries of these giants of the faith have transformed the lives of millions of people. We are deeply thankful for their legacies and invite all of their friends from around the world to join us in Jerusalem to celebrate their contribution to God’s work.”

Bonnke is principally known for his great gospel crusades throughout the continent of Africa. Attendance at these meetings has drawn as many as 1.6 million people to a single meeting.

Bonnke is the founder of the international ministry Christ for All Nations, which currently has offices in the United States, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Nigeria, South Africa, Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong. Since the start of the new millennium, through a host of major events in Africa and other parts of the world, the ministry has recorded 55 million documented decisions for Jesus Christ.

God has used Cerullo to reach multitudes of people around the world in over half a century of ministry. He has hosted miracle crusades, in which the lame walked, the blind saw, the deaf heard and the gospel was preached to more than 500,000 people in one service.

Cerullo hosts a daily television program titled Victory Today. He has also written more than 80 books, which have been distributed to millions, including spiritual classics such as: Proof Producers, Two Men From Eden, The New Anointing, You Can Know How to Defeat Satan, Son, Build Me an Army, Journey into the Promised Land: Daily Devotions for the New Millennium, God’s Victorious Army Bible, Spiritual Warfare Financial Bible, Healing Bible, The Prophecy Bible and Financial Classic.

Hayford serves as chancellor of The Kings University (formerly The King’s College and Seminary) in Los Angeles and Dallas, which he founded in 1997. From 2004 to 2009, he also served as president of The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. He is probably best-known as the founding pastor of The Church on the Way in Van Nuys, California, where he served as senior pastor for more than three decades.

A prolific and best-selling writer, Hayford is the author (or co-author) of more than 50 books and has composed 500 hymns and choruses, including the internationally known and widely recorded “Majesty.” He is an acknowledged “bridge-builder,” helping to forge healthy bonds among all segments of the body of Christ.

At the age of 42, Hickey responded to God’s call on her life to “cover the earth with His Word” (Is. 11:9). The Lord has continually opened doors of opportunity for Hickey in nearly 130 countries. This includes private meetings and prayer with high-ranking Muslim and Hindu government officials. Her lectures on healing and the Bible have broken records for the largest public meeting ever held in Egypt and Pakistan.

Hickey works with her daughter, Sarah Bowling, to bring people into relationship with Jesus Christ. Year after year, they cross unfriendly borders with Bibles, teaching materials and books translated into native languages, often at great personal risk, carrying the gospel into scores of nations including Pakistan, Italy, Morocco, Ethiopia, Sudan, Russia, Panama, Australia, China, Germany, India, the United Kingdom, Vietnam and dozens more.

Mainse is the founder of Crossroads Television, which has grown into an international ministry with a 143,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art television production facility called “The Crossroads Centre” in Burlington, Ontario. He also created a studio at “100 Huntley Street” in downtown Toronto and launched an interview/talk show under the same name.

“100 Huntley Street” has featured more than 16,000 guests such as Billy Graham, Charlton Heston and scores of Canadians and Americans sharing their stories and music. It has a weekly audience averaging 1 million Canadian viewers. There are only two other programs in Canada that have sustained such viewership among the public—Hockey Night In Canada and CFL Football.

Synan serves as dean emeritus and visiting professor of Church History at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he previously served as dean of the School of Divinity. An historian and author within the Pentecostal movement, Synan has published many articles and 19 books on Pentecostal and charismatic themes.

Synan was a co-founder and organizer in the birth of the Society for Pentecostal Studies, where he was elected as the first general secretary. He also served as the general secretary for the Pentecostal Holiness Church while also teaching at Oklahoma City Southwestern College, where he served as the acting president in 1980. He was elected as assistant general superintendent of his denomination, then served as the director of evangelism. He currently serves on the Empowered21 Global Council and on the Oral Roberts University Board of Trustees.

The Jerusalem 2015 Global Congress is a call to all believers from around the world to celebrate Pentecost in the land of Pentecost. The event will attract Spirit-empowered Christians from every continent to Jerusalem during the week of Pentecost to unite in faith for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
