Attacks Against Churches Continue as Vandals Caught on Video

With the overturning of Roe v. Wade Christians across the nation celebrated decades worth of prayers being answered.

However, the pro-Roe crowd began planning how to fight back against this ruling. And fight they have.

Since the Supreme Courts decision, there have been multiple fire bombings within the United States targeting pro-life pregnancy centers and the vandalizing of churches across the country.

Recently, a Catholic church was vandalized, and caught the perpetrators on video.

This attack occurred in Lansing, Michigan, and security footage caught three vandals spray painting the sidewalk in front of the church. The phrases, “abort the court” and “death to Christian nationalism” were some of the threats written on the sidewalk.

“Our hope and our prayer is that those who did this to our parish church are not just brought to justice but are also brought to conversion, brought to an encounter with the love of Jesus, brought to a realization that anger corrodes the soul while life in Christ brings only freedom, peace and healing. That’s our hope. That’s our prayer,” parish pastor Fr. Steve Mattson said.

These attacks are occurring with increased frequency since the overturning of Roe, and the Department of Justice appears to be unconcerned with it.

To date, no arrests have been made regarding the attacks made against pro-life pregnancy centers and churches.

One group in particular, Jane’s Revenge, has claimed responsibility for no less than 18 of the attacks, and regularly post the results of their domestic terrorism online.

By typing in the hashtag “janesrevenge” the average user on Twitter can see a plethora of accounts sharing the pictures and promoting the violence against pro-life Americans.

The FBI did release a statement on Sept. 7 addressing the ongoing investigation of the “series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers, faith-based organizations and reproductive health clinics across the country, as well as to judicial buildings, including the U.S. Supreme Court.”

There was no mention of the group Jane’s Revenge.

While all of this domestic terrorism is occurring, the FBI and DOJ have found the time to arrest multiple pro-life Christians and charge them with violating the FACE Act.

These arrests have been against peaceful protesters and executed with guns drawn at the houses of the accused. Many times, children have been present, such as in the case of Mark Houck.

Houck’s case had already been thrown out by the state, as he was accused of causing injury against a pro-abortion protester who was allegedly threatening his young son.

The Biden DOJ decided to pick up the case, in what is being labeled as “political prosecution” of Republicans, conservatives and Christians.

Peter Breen, Houck’s attorney and vice president and senior counsel of the Thomas Moore Society, lambasted the Biden DOJ for its tactics:

“This is a political prosecution,” Breen said. “And what’s clear from the Department of Justice at its highest levels, which is directing this case, [is] that they are trying to send a message to pro-life and people of faith: ‘Don’t mess with us.’ They want to intimidate—they want to cause good people like Mark to stop praying and counseling at the abortion clinics of our country. And that’s not going to happen.”

Thankfully, Christians can take refuge and lean on the Word of God with passages like Romans 5:3-4, “Not only so, but we also boast in tribulation, knowing that tribulation produces patience, patience produces character and character produces hope.”
