Is Pope Francis Preparing to Resign?

Catholics all over the world are closely watching some unusual activity at the Vatican as rumors persist that Pope Francis is preparing to resign.

Francis has sparked speculation among church watchers after postponing a trip to Africa and announcing an unusual meeting of cardinals set for later this summer, according to The Daily Mail.

The 85-year-old pontiff, the leader of the Roman Catholic Church with its more than 1.2 billion followers, has been confined to a wheelchair due to nerve pain in his knee. He recently decided to delay trips scheduled for next month to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan.uncement of the meeting of the cardinals known as a “consistory” is unusual.

Belief in God Dips to All-Time Low—But These 2 Groups Remain Steadfast

As cultural crises continue, a new poll from Gallup reveals a heartbreaking reality driving our collective consternation: a significant decrease in the proportion of Americans who believe in God.

While 81% of U.S. adults told Gallup they still believe in the Lord, this proportion is down from the 87% measured in 2017 and the 92% recorded in 2011—and it is the lowest measure ever registered since Gallup began asking the question in 1944.

Meanwhile, a notable 17% said they do not believe in the Almighty.

Why Donald Trump Has Too Much Baggage

According to a new poll, a majority of Americans do not want either Joe Biden or Donald Trump to be their presidential candidates in 2024. Count me in among that majority.

As for Biden, I cannot imagine him running again at his advanced (and diminished) age. Plus, his presidency thus far has been a disaster, and I strongly oppose many of his core values and goals.

More broadly, unless there is a fundamental revolution in the Democratic Party, I cannot imagine voting Democrat. {eoa}
