Illinois Parents Furious About After School Satan Club in Elementary School

A school district in Illinois is defending an elementary school after it distributed flyers advertising an after-school Satan Club to students in first through fifth grade.

Children at Jane Addams Elementary School in Moline, Illinois were invited to participate in the after-school club hosted by the Satanic Temple earlier this week.

“Hey Kids, let’s have fun at After School Satan Club,” the promotional material read.

Study: US Pastors Identify Their Greatest Needs

Pastors face unique difficulties inherent in their careers but what are their greatest needs? Pastors themselves say they’re most concerned about seeing their churchgoers grow spiritually and making connections with those outside of their churches.

After speaking directly with pastors to gather their perspectives on their ministries and personal challenges, Lifeway Research surveyed 1,000 U.S. pastors for the 2022 Greatest Needs of Pastors study to discover what they see as their most pressing issues.

“The pre-existing challenges of ministry were amplified by COVID, and it’s important we lean in and listen closely to pastors,” said Ben Mandrell, president of Lifeway Christian Resources. “This project has shed light on critical needs they have and will point the way forward in how we partner with them to fuel their ministries and improve their health in multiple areas.”

Promise Keepers CEO Warns Porn Desecrates More Than Just Your Soul

The leader of the men’s ministry Promise Keepers said this week people should be “running in terror” from their sinful inclination—particularly the temptation of pornography—”because it will separate us from God, from our kids, from our wives.”

During the start of the 2022 Promise Keepers Marriage Summit, ministry chair and CEO Ken Harrison recalled hearing from a group of guys who told him they “couldn’t help themselves” when it came to pornography use because “God created them that way,” referring to a heightened desire for sex.

“I said, ‘no, no, no,'” Harrison remembered. “God didn’t create you to be that way. God created you to have an intense longing for your wife, for the two to become one flesh. Sin created that same longing for every other woman.” {eoa}
