The Prayer That Changed This Woman’s Life Forever

Like many others, as a child, Lisa Robertson never fully understood her faith. And as she grew older, she only had one question: “God, are you real?”

While in college, confused and seeking answers, she prayed her first earnest prayer and asked God to reveal Himself to her. Otherwise, she would go about her life without Him.

With that prayer, God spoke to Robertson loud and clear. That summer, she met the Trinity up close and personal in a tent meeting. For the first time, her Christian faith made sense, and she wanted more.

It was then that Robertson discovered who God really was—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and also discovered her life’s path to walking in God’s loving presence. Soon after, she discovered Psalm 16:11a, which says “You will make known to me the paths of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy.”

“To me, joy is being in the presence of Jesus and knowing that He is with me on the path,” Robertson, founder of Changing Seasons, an outreach ministry inspiring and empowering women, said on a recent episode of “Charisma Connection” on the Charisma Podcast Network. “Fullness of joy is confidence that I’m not alone. There’s always a destination to a path, and you’re never alone on that path when you’re walking with the Lord. That gives me joy and strength.”
