Kim Daniels Calls on Believers to ‘Make Covenant’ With Christian Bookstores

2018 06 Kim Daniels Conference

Charisma House author Kimberly Daniels is calling on the faith community to support Christian retail stores. Speaking at the Charisma Conference, held June 22-23 in Orlando, Florida, Daniels spoke of shifting taking place in the body of Christ.

“I bind that spirit that will stop people from buying Christian books,” she declared. “I bind that spirit where Christian bookstores are closing down. No, we’ve shifted and it’s going in another direction.”

In an interview following her ministry from the platform, Daniels said she believes the power to sustain Christian stores is in the hands of believers.

“We have the people,” she said. “How many believers are there? We can’t go to the internet for everything. We have to support these retailers. If we don’t do it, then our businesses will shut down.”

Daniels, who is a Florida representative and pastor of Spoken Word Ministries in Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, sees other non-Christian groups supporting their causes and is now calling on the church to take a lesson from them.

“There are people from other agendas, the LBGTQ and different agendas like that, they support their people,” she said. “And believers need to start supporting ours.”

We need to “connect the dots” between the believing community and Christian stores, Daniels said, but this kind of support requires more than connecting.

“We don’t need to just connect,” she said. “We need to make covenant. You can only make covenant if you see the vision. We need pastors who understand the importance of books and the times that we’re living in and where we’re going, where we are right now in America. Christian retailing should be on the forefront of everything. It should be a priority, but the word needs to get out.”
