How This Pastor Went From Graduate Physics to Exploring, Explaining the Supernatural

With a background steeped in science, Putty Putman didn’t put much stock in the Holy Spirit or His gifts. But then an apostle Paul-like experience on a mission trip to China left Putman spellbound, transforming not only his beliefs but his entire life.

By the time he graduated with his Ph.D. in physics, Putman was “hooked on the kingdom.” Passionate about healing, the prophetic and power evangelism, Putman oversees those ministries at The Vineyard Church. He also started the School of Kingdom Ministry in 2011 and has devoted his life to seeing people activated in the supernatural and equipped to become world changers.

“When God really gets hold of a high capability person, then the results are just dynamic,” Putman told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of “Greenelines” on the Charisma Podcast Network. “The apostle Paul was the standout Pharisee of the day, but when the Holy Spirit interrupted him, and Jesus showed up in his life, he became the standout church planter of the day.

“He did that for me, and He can do that for you. God takes whoever we are and aims it at something kingdom, and then it gets exciting.”
