How the Holy Spirit Can Instantly Repair Your Broken Relationship With Your Child

With the family unit in America continually deteriorating, author and pastor Max Lucado wants you to know that it’s not too late.

If you think you’ve blown it with your children because of past parenting mistakes, the Holy Spirit can fix the relationship, and quickly.

“Let’s remember that God can do in a moment what we think might take decades,” Lucado told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of “Greenelines” on the Charisma Podcast Network. “We sometimes assume that if we were not involved in our children’s lives when they were young that we will never have a chance to undo that. But the Holy Spirit can do that.

“The Holy Spirit is powerful. Jesus described the Holy Spirit like a wind. The wind can come in a gentle form, or it can come in a hurricane form and bring about change. So, let’s not assume that we’ve missed it. … Let your child know that you are always going to be there for them and in case they wonder, that you’re still going to love them no matter what happens.

“We learn from our mistakes, and God can change things. Look at Joseph. He was in prison one night and then prime minister the next day in Egypt, so He can bring about those kinds of changes. Let’s keep praying, keep believing, keep trusting in the Holy Spirit to work and know in the right time, in the right way, good things are going to happen.”
