Evangelist D.L. Moody once said that 1 in 100 people outside the church might eventually pick up a Bible and read it. But, he said, 99 of them will read the Christian.

Using that analogy, author and spirit-filled evangelist Matt Brown, the founder of Think Eternity ministry, says that if you life of love, joy and peace, non-believers will be drawn to you and you will have more influence on them to win them to Christ.

“If think about the fruit of the Spirit, it represents the character of God,” Brown, the author of Truth Plus Love: The Jesus Way to Influence,” told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of “Greenelines” on the Charisma Podcast Network.

“God is loving. God is patient with us. God is kind, and His kindness leads to repentance. So, the fruit of the Spirit is a way for us to represent Jesus to the world and walk in the way that He walked. People are reading our lives. They’re reading our social media posts. They are reading us in our conversations. You influence people by the graciousness and by your love, your genuine love.”
