Hollywood stars Carlos and Alexa PenaVega chose a very biblical name for their precious baby boy: Ocean King PenaVega.

The couple, who met in a small group a few years ago, chose the name because of God’s creation story in Genesis 1.

“God called the dry ground “land” and the water the “seas”. And God saw that it was good. That is why we went with Ocean. And he is a son of the one true “King.” For us it has a beautiful biblical meaning,” Alexa posted to Instagram.

Their fans responded in droves, some skeptical of the name while others adored it:

That is so unique!!! I love it! One of a kind world changer name!! It will spark conversations about Jesus in the future!! @vegaalexa,” wrote one person.

Another posted: “When I first heard it was like “uhhhh (emoji) okk..” but now that I saw their reaoan (sic), it actually makes sense!! I love it.”

Another commented: “@vegaalexa I think it’s a great name! It’s original. God will bless your son and your family! That’s for sure, I wish you guys the best! You are going to be the best family ever!”

The couple also frequently posts pictures of their favorite Bible verses to their accounts.

What do you think of the name? Sound off!
