I am all for mercy and redemption. I absolutely believe in forgiveness and restoration. But I cannot understand why Jon Gruden, one of the more iconic coaches in the NFL, was fired for comments he made in private emails 10 years ago while author and lawyer Jeffrey Toobin is back on CNN after his fairly recent Zoom fiasco. By what standard?

I’m not for a moment excusing, let alone condoning, Gruden’s emails if, in fact, they are bad as reported. But even if they were that bad, they were sent out 10 years ago. Plus, they were private statements rather than public statements. And, most importantly, to my knowledge, none of those who worked closely with him over the years accused him of being racist or misogynistic.

At the worst, with his full apology and pledge to step higher, he should have been able to continue in his job, perhaps incurring a fine as a token punishment.

Iconic Kids Entertainment Company Publicly Commits to Occult

Is Disney, the ever-iconic kids entertainment company, stepping into the occult with the launch of a new Tarot card set?

The new “Villains” Tarot cards, featuring Disney’s most famous antagonists, are certain to spark controversy and concern, especially among Christians who understand biblical warnings against these tools that are all-too-often inappropriately and inaccurately paraded as mere parlor games.

The card set wasn’t officially launched directly by Disney, though the company reportedly licensed images of some of its most famous villains to be used in the deck—and now the cards are making their way onto holiday gift lists.

A woman recently delivered the ultimate surprise to her husband-to-be on the couple’s wedding day: she got out of her wheelchair and walked down the aisle.

Chelsea Hill, 29, has been paralyzed from the waist down since 2010, but that didn’t stop her from coming up with a plan to walk down the aisle toward her now-husband, 34-year-old Jay Bloomfield.

Hill, founder of a popular wheelchair dance team called the Rollettes, told Insider there’s nothing wrong with going down the aisle in a wheelchair, but said she always saw herself walking town the matrimonial aisle—and with some ingenuity, that plan became a reality.

Courts vindicated former President Donald Trump Friday when Summer Devos dropped her five-year defamation lawsuit for sexual assault against him, and a New York judge granted his motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed by his former personal attorney, Michael Cohen.

Zervos, a contestant on Trump’s reality television show The Apprentice in 2005, sued Trump in January 2017 in a New York state court in Manhattan. Trump denied the allegations saying he harmed her reputation by calling such allegations by women “lies” and retweeting a post calling her claims a “hoax.”

Trump was spared having to sit through a deposition after a judge ordered it to take place by Dec. 23. Zervos previously claimed Trump subjected her to unwanted kissing and groping in 2007 after she sought career advice, media reports said.

in the book of Exodus, God rained down plagues of frogs, flies and locusts on the Egyptians under Pharaoh. While this may not parallel what the Egyptians suffered back then, one can’t help but wonder if these two phenomena are biblical signs of what is yet to come.

This past week in Egypt, it was reported that scorpions washed into homes due to heavy rains and stung three people to death and left more than 500 injured. Hail and thunderstorms along the River Nile swept the scorpions, as well as snakes, away from their usual hiding places in the city of Aswan.

Meanwhile, in Western Australia, 50 million cannibal crabs swarmed the June to the coast on Christmas Island, shutting down roads for an undisclosed period of time. The bright-red creatures descended upon townships in Western Australia in what is considered one of the greatest animal migrations on the planet. {eoa}
