Church of God in Christ evangelist Louise Dowdy Patterson, 84, widow of former Presiding Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson, died at her Memphis home on Nov. 20, per several media outlets.

The co-founder with her husband of the Temple of Deliverance/Bountiful Blessings Ministry, Patterson “served millions and impacted countless lives!” says her pastor, Bishop Milton R. Hawkins of the Temple of Deliverance. “Evangelist Patterson was known for her charitable deeds and numerous acts of kindness to others. She was an iconic figure in the body of Christ and will be remembered for her mentorship and grace. Each time she entered a room, she made a mammoth statement.”

COGIC also announced her death in a tribute giving full funeral details. “Mother Patterson was an anointed Woman of God with class, elegance and graciousness,” the tribute notes, adding that “Presiding Bishop J. Drew Sheard, the General Board and the entire constituency of Church of God In Christ send our condolences to the Patterson family, the Temple of Deliverance Family and all who knew and loved Mother Patterson.”

Is it possible that ancient entities known as the “gods” have returned to our world? Could they be the hidden agents transforming modern culture? Could the growing movement to curtail free speech in the West, whether in the form of political correctness, wokeism or cancel culture, be connected to the mystery of these gods?

Bestselling author Jonathan Cahn’s latest book, “The Return of the Gods,” outlines America’s turning away from God and identifies the dark entities that are at work at this very moment to transform the nation and Western civilization. Since the book’s release, “The Return of the Gods” hit No. 2 on the New York Times Best Sellers List—Cahn’s highest ranking ever—as well as No. 2 in the Hardcover Frontlist Nonfiction category on the Publishers Weekly bestsellers list, and No. 2 in nonfiction combined on the Wall Street Journal bestsellers list.

Cahn takes readers on a journey through time, beginning with the ancient entities known in the Bible as the shedim. The word shedim stands for the spirits and dark entities that lie behind the gods and idols of the pagan world.

In a newly released video, pastors within the Southern Baptist Convention have declared former SBC president Johnny Hunt restored and able to return to ministry.

Hunt, at one time the pastor of a megachurch in Georgia, was one of several pastors identified in the Guidepost Solutions report on sexual abuse occurring within the SBC. The report contained the shocking allegation of Hunt sexually assaulting the wife of another pastor in 2010.

The four men who made the video, Rev. Steven Kyle, and pastors Mark Hoover, Benny Tate and Mike Whitson, say that Hunt is a reformed man. The group claims to have gone through an “intentional and an intense season of transparency, reflection and restoration” with Hunt and his wife and that he displayed “genuine brokenness and humility before God.”

The news headlines in 2022 have been filled with gloom and doom forecasts. People write and speak of a shortage of this, there is a shortage of that, whether it’s diesel fuel or essential food products.

So, how are we to prepare ourselves for famine throughout our land?

Prophet Chuck Pierce says God has given us authority and has put us in strategic places that give us access to everything we need. However, Pierce says we must think like Joseph in the Bible so that we may survive in the lean times.

Former Members Sue Vineyard Anaheim Over Fraud Allegations

In the wake of a stunning split from the denomination it helped found, Vineyard Anaheim’s senior pastors now find themselves in a lawsuit.

Co-founder of Vineyard Anaheim Carol Wimber-Wong and eight other former members of the church are suing senior pastors Alan and Kathryn Scott. They allege that the Scotts committed fraud and misappropriation of $62 million in assets.

According to Christianity Today, Wong was an “active and tithing member” at the Anaheim church. That is until the Scotts suddenly withdrew the church from the denomination she had helped found with her late husband John Wimber. {eoa}
