Thinking about leaving your church? Vlad Savchuk Shares How to do it the Right Way

2022 11 CHURCH WORSHIP

Are you currently involved in a church or ministry and you feel like it’s time to leave? God may be calling you to move into your next season somewhere else but how you leave your previous season is important for how you enter into your next season.

A new study from Barna Group shows we could be entering a new era in millennial church attendance. From 2019 to 2022 research shows Millennial attendance has gone from 21% to 39%. As Christians head back to attending church in person, it’s a good time to remember how God has called us to serve and love one another.

Charisma News sat down with Pastor Vlad Savchuk to talk about how to honor a church or ministry as you leave for the next season. Savchuk leads the Hungrygen movement out of Washington state and they are seeing an incredible move of God in the high schools in their area.

Before you leave your current season you need to make sure that you hear from the Lord and follow the counsel of the Holy Spirit. Savchuk says when the Lord says it’s time it’s important we follow the steps of Moses and not Jacob. Are you trying to leave a church silently out the back door? Or are you storming out and trying to disappear and take other people with you?

“Other people leave churches like demons leave people, loudly,” Savchuk says.

God has called for the body of Christ to walk in unity, building one another up, not tearing each other down and causing division. Tune in to this episode to hear practical tips about how to honor God into your next season. {eoa}
