Don Moen remembers it perfectly.
“There was a time when I was really seeking the Lord about my music, and in the middle of the night, it was like somebody spoke to me, and I heard someone say, ‘Open your Bible and turn to Psalm 40:3,'” Moen, a former music executive and internationally renowned worship leader, shares with Charisma publisher, Dr. Steve Greene.
“I got out of bed, I open my Bible; it says, ‘I have put a new song in your mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see it and fear and put their trust in the Lord.’
“I remember sitting in my office thinking, ‘It feels as if I was ordained into something and I don’t even know what it is completely,’ because I had not led worship at that point. I had traveled with a musical evangelistic group, but there was something new the Lord wanted to do,” Moen says.
