The Lord God Almighty Is Directing ‘Duck Dynasty,’ Says Si Robertson

Duck Dynasty almost didn’t make it to a sixth season after the flap last year about Phil Robertson’s controversial statements about homosexuality in GQ magazine. But God had other plans in mind.

Season six of the popular reality TV show debuts on June 11. Here’s the description:

“When the governor of Louisiana announces he will becoming to Duck Commander to present Willie with a commerce award, John Luke volunteers to give the introduction speech. But Willie can’t help but give John Luke some public speaking pointers, along with Si’s unwanted help. Meanwhile, Miss Kay enlists Korie and Sadie’s help to pick out a nice outfit for the visit, trying to convince a reluctant Phil to give his opinion of her outfit options.”

Si Robertson, the lovable uncle in the Duck Dynasty clan, insists what the cameras try to film doesn’t always end up the way directors planned—and he believe God is blessing the reality TV show.

“We was doing a film one day about hunting for the beaver dam, and I said, I laughed at the director, said ‘You actually think you’re directing this thing?” Robertson told Fox News. “The Lord God Mighty is directing Duck Dynasty.”
