Church Leaves Matt Chandler’s Acts 29 Network Over ‘Leftward Theological Drift’

CityView Church, an establishment founded by Matt Chandler’s The Village Church, has declared its separation from the Acts 29 church planting network, citing concerns over organizational flaws, theological drift and poor decision-making.

The departure, announced by CityView’s pastor, Rick White, signals a significant shift for a church deeply rooted in the network for nearly two decades.

In a detailed statement, White expressed his disappointment over the decision, stating, “Our church has resigned our membership from the Acts 29 network. It saddens me that it had to come to this.” White outlined three primary reasons for the separation: a flawed organizational structure, concerns over poor decision-making, and leftward theological drift within Acts 29 and a loss of confidence in the network’s ability to support church multiplication.

When God Moves, We Must Seize the Moment

I began hearing about the “Pensacola Outpouring” (or “Brownsville Revival”) several months after it began in June, 1995. Shortly after that, I read an article about the revival in Charisma magazine which quoted evangelist Steve Hill, whom I had known through the saintly revivalist and intercessor Leonard Ravenhill (1907-1994). Steve was asked why he cancelled his preaching engagements around the world to devote himself exclusively to the outpouring in Pensacola. He replied, “The opportunity of a lifetime must be seized during the lifetime of the opportunity.”

This was something I understood well. When real revival finally comes—maybe once in a generation, once in a lifetime, once in a century or once in a millennium, you cannot let it go. You must dive in with both feet and give it your all. You may never have the chance again.

This was something Steve also understood. And so, when the fire of God fell suddenly on Father’s Day of 1995 at the Brownsville Assembly of God and it was clear that revival was breaking out, Steve stayed on for one week, for two weeks, for one month, for two months—ultimately for five years.

Perry Stone Uncovers The Apocalyptic Signs of the Israel-Gaza War

Is the ongoing war in Israel a sign of the coming end times? Could it be considered an apocalyptic event?

In a new message on YouTube, Perry Stone is discussing in depth how this current war has all of the signs of an end times event.

“The mother of all battles is called Armageddon,” Stone said. “So, what is happening in the Middle East, especially with Israel and the situation in the Gaza Strip, many people believe that this is the beginning of what we will see in the next few months or years that will climax into what we call the apocalyptic wars that are alluded to in Bible prophecy.”
